BIKE CARE
Bicycle care
Bicycle care is important. Although we professionally build each bike with care and respect , we advise all of our customers/family to keep proper maintenance with lubrication and making sure all nuts/bolts tight and secure. Due to high vibration of the engines the nuts may come loose. We recommend checking before and after every ride. Please make sure chain is properly lubricated at all times. Please make sure tires are inflated to proper pressure. Check brakes before and after every ride.
Tools needed for bike care
15mm wrench for front and back wheels
1/2inch wrench for the front engine mount
10mm wrench for the rear engine mount and exhaust
9/16th wrench for the chain tensioner
#5 allen wrench for all engine bolts, clutch arm and kill switch
Brake-in Period
The brake in period is the engines first 300 miles or first 2 tanks. This is the time were the engine is brand new and all parts inside the engine will be lubed and broken in. For this first 300 miles, 2 tanks, or brake in period we recommend not exceeding 20mph or riding longer than periods of 20 minutes.
After 20 min just let the engine cool off to the touch and saddle up and ride off into the sunset cowboy
Fuel Mixture for brake in period
The engine will need a high mixture of 2 cycle sythetic oil with gas.
The ratio is 16:1 which is 8oz of synthetic 2 cycle oil to 1 gal of gas. During this time the excess oil that is not being burned will sometimes drip out of the exhaust. This is totally normal. After the brake in period or first 300 miles you will reduce the mixture to 20:1 which is 6oz of synthetic 2 cycle oil to 1 gal of gas.
Brakes!
Please always check your brake conditions! Before and after every ride you must check you brake lever, pads and cables to make sure they are in working condition. These motobikes are fun but can be dangerous if not taken seriously. Please be careful and responsible.
